What to expect from a 22mm full sclera
This is an advanced lens. It is the look everyone wants for a demon, a possessed character or a full black-eyed creature, and it is the lens that needs the most respect.
Coverage
The whole visible eye22mm covers the iris and all of the white, corner to corner. No white shows at any angle. It is the biggest lens we sell and the most dramatic change in the range.
Vision
Limited and foggyThere is a pupil cutout, so you can see, but it is foggy and your side vision is mostly gone. Never drive, ride or use stairs without a hand free while wearing them.
First wear
Practise before the nightA 22mm lens takes a few goes the first time. Put them in a day or two before your event, wear them for an hour at home, and take them out. Eight hours is the daily limit.

Pick how long the pair lasts
The lens is the same in every option. The wear length is how long the pair stays good after you first open the vial, as long as you clean and store it in fresh solution. *Cost a day assumes daily use over the wear length, 8 hours maximum.

Putting a 22mm lens in takes practice
Most people need a few goes the first time. Practise a day or two before the event, not on the night. The applicator and removal tool in the box make it easier, and printed instructions come with them.
Wash and dry your hands
Soap, rinse, and a lint-free towel. Open the vial and tip the lens into your palm with a little fresh solution.
Check it is a bowl, not a saucer
Sit the lens on your fingertip. Edges curving up means it is the right way round. Edges flaring out means flip it.
Look up, place low, blink slowly
Hold both lids open as wide as you can, look up, set the lens on the lower white of the eye with the applicator and let go. Close your eye and roll it gently until the lens settles. Do not push it.

Before you buy
Can I see through a 22mm black sclera?
A little. There is a pupil cutout, so you are not blind in them, but vision is foggy and side vision is mostly gone. Treat them as a costume piece for standing, posing and photos. Do not drive or ride in them.
How hard are 22mm lenses to put in?
Harder than any other lens we sell, which is why the applicator and removal tool are in the box. Hold both lids wide, look up, set the lens on the lower white and let it settle, then blink slowly. Practise a day or two before, never on the night.
Do I need a prescription?
No. These are plano, meaning zero power, so they change the look only. We do not sell powered lenses, so if you need vision correction they will not replace your regular contacts.
How long can I wear them in a day?
Up to 8 hours, and for a 22mm lens shorter is better. Take them out the moment your eyes feel dry or sore, and always before sleep.
Why is a 22mm lens so much dearer than a normal one?
It is a much larger, hand-finished lens made in far smaller runs, and it comes boxed with the 22mm case, applicator and removal tool. A 1 Year pair at $119.25 works out to about 33 cents a day worn daily, or about $2.30 a wear if you use them once a week.
