Bride of Frankenstein Makeup Look For Halloween: A Step-by-Step Guide

Bride of Frankenstein Makeup Look For Halloween: A Step-by-Step Guide

When it comes to Halloween, the Bride of Frankenstein costume is a timeless classic. However, there's no reason for your makeup to be mundane. In this contemporary interpretation, we will breathe new life into this eerie ensemble with our crazy contact lenses.

Drawing inspiration from the black and white classic film, we're giving the Bride of Frankenstein makeup a vibrant, Gotye-style colour-blocking makeover. Follow this comprehensive tutorial to achieve the ultimate Bride of Frankenstein Halloween look for this spooky season!

Step 1: Prepare Your Canvas

Begin with a freshly cleansed face. If you're using airbrush face paint, apply an airbrush face primer. Otherwise, prep your face with a liquid foundation.

Step 2: Outline Your Colour Scheme

With a black eyeliner pencil, outline the design for your color-blocked makeup. We've divided the face into three distinct sections. Along the shoulder area, we've created an open-ended five-pointed star.

Step 3: Embrace the Lighter Hues

Start by applying light green and yellow shades to the designated areas. We've chosen a Frankenstein-green shade for the lower part of the face, extending down onto the neck. The yellow tone is applied to one of the face sections around an eye, as well as to four other sections along the shoulders.

Step 4: Enhance with Brighter Colours

Use a deeper green shade to outline each of the light green sections. On the shoulder area, introduce two additional sections with a vibrant turquoise blue.

Step 5: Fill in with Gentle Lilac

Apply a soft, light purple colour to the empty sections on the face and torso.

Step 6: Define with Deeper Purple

Outline each of the light purple sections with a darker purple shade. Fill in some sections entirely with the deeper purple hue.

Step 7: Define the Eyes and Add Highlights

Utilise deep-toned eyeshadow to create a dramatic cat-eye shape. Match the eyeshadow colour to the underlying makeup, either opting for a deep purple or a dark green. Apply the eyeshadow along the crease and outer corner of the eye, blending it out and upward. Additionally, apply highlighter to select areas, such as the centre of the eyelid and along the upper cheekbones. You can also use the blind white or blackout halloween from our Crazy contact lenses collection.

Step 8: Add a Striking Red Outline

Using red cream-based makeup or paint, redefine the black lines to start crafting the illusion of your skin being stitched together.

Step 9: Sharpen the Lines with Black

With black eyeliner, carefully trace over the existing red lines to darken them and create more definition.

Step 10: Introduce the Stitching Effect

Using the same black eyeliner, add small stitch lines along the outlines of the shapes.

Step 11: Enhance the Stitching with Silver

Utilising a silver cream or eyeliner, trace each stitch to impart a metallic appearance.

Step 12: Complete the Look

Fill in your eyebrows with eyebrow powder, and set all makeup with a finishing powder. Define your eyelashes using mascara or consider adding false eyelashes for added drama. For the lips, apply a purple cream-based paint or lipstick.

Step 13: You're Ready to Shine!

With this boldly-coloured makeup and the iconic streak of grey hair, you'll transform into the perfect Bride of Frankenstein for your Halloween festivities. Embrace the spooky season with confidence and style through our crazy contact lenses.
